 Could basketball improve your life?


“I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life, and that is what I succeed.” Michael Jordan. The most popular sport, basketball, was originated in 1981, invented by Dr. James Naismith. This sport started to be famous since many people can play for take fun and at the same time making good dynamics. The physical skill and good strategies aren’t the unique blend of basketball for take fun, also, there are many communities that foster a spirit of competition. 


Playing basketball offers a range of benefits encompassing physical, mental, and social impacts. For example, when I was in basketball during one year, my coach tells us that the key word for a better game is the communication since this helps us at the moment when we need to give the ball to other players. Basketball also has some benefits if we practice it, such as physical fitness, it's because this sport involves many activities at the same time, like running, jumping, and quick changes to avoid that the player of the other group takes the ball. Another one is the mental benefits, like reduction of stress and anxiety, during my time playing basketball, this sport helps me to reduce those things that was mainly caused by homework, so long that I had to send them the same day that the teacher asks to do it and some other type of problems. Since this sport has intensity, the risk of injury when participating is high, there are physical limitations that you have to consider before participating. Some of them are short-term injury this includes, jammed fingers and stress fractures. Spine injury, are injuries to the spinal column or stress fractures of the vertebrae. And finally, head injury, according to Jeffrey Kutcher, it can cause serious trauma in some cases and can be difficult to classify any head injury as being without long-term health risks.


In conclusion, basketball can be a sport that needs physical skills and good strategies, and the risk of injuries is high, but despite this, it has benefits for a good life and also you can enjoy while playing. The benefits of basketball contribute for a good physical health, mental well-being, skills development, and good communication. Basketball can be a dangerous sport, but at the same time, have benefits for improve your health.
